Since January 2008 9th, I have been composing an opera inspired by the life of Padre Pio. Padre Pio was one of the most mysterious and controversial personalities of the 20th century. His kindness and charisma set him apart. His reputation as a “miracle-worker” quickly spread worldwide. Part of his direct entourage and his hierarchy were, for decades, bent on seeing him dead. A life of unprecedented mystic and fiction. Name of this opera : "Padre Pio e la Notte Oscura" (Padre Pio and the Dark Night")

A Tribute to my beloved parents ....
My family lived "Au 15" ("at number 15"). It was an already ancient house, located on a promontory, at the end of a hill. The view was quite unrestricted. Laughters, rows and fights: a usual everyday life for children. It was ours. And then laughters went quiet; we left the ones after the others; and the house little by little fell asleep.
When I wrote the first version of "ER" (1999), I had in mind a strange story which is in a work of the Greek philosopher Plato. In "The Republic" Plato tells the story of a soldier called "ER". During a ferocious fight, ER is left for dead on the battlefield. His comrades pick him up and place him on a pyre. As they are about to set fire to it the soldiers see ER get up. ER had travelled to the land of the dead and had come back from there.
During the summer 2007, the symphonic poem "ER" has been completely (re) composed.
15 billion years ago, an explosion of light gave birth to space and matter in an unimaginable hot chaos. From the minute initial point a cosmic tapestry was born; it was made of billions of galaxies each made of billions of stars. I have always felt wonder in front of this infinite space.
Galaxies is a work which is at least deist. I have writen above all, a music whose ambition was to convey a dynamic, images, emotions and if possible a breath of life.
