The writing of the libretto has been completed. This text will be translated into Italian; it would seem inconceivable to me that this Saint and the monastic circle in which he used to live could speak (or sing !) another language that this one. The libretto features 8 characters and choirs.

Translation into italian language of the libretto has been completed. I am greatly looking forward to working on such an ambitious project (starting from 2008, January or February). Right now, I am achieving the complete new composition of my symphonic poem “ER”.

Since January the 9th, composition of my opera is on the way. Should you be interested in this composition progress, a regular monthly information is at your disposal on this site (Subscribe !).
For a long time, I have been considering that my symphonic piece "Lance and Blood" (2005) (inspired by the life of Saint Padre Pio) was only a kind of draft. Historical and mystical dimension of this man might offer much greater philosophical and musical possibilities. Why not an opera ? There are many high quality biographies of Padre Pio (I particularly like "Padre Pio" by Joachim Bouflet); but none of them might provide me with the framework of this opera (as I imagine it). I’m going to write the libretto as soon as possible.
